Sunshine Coast Wedding Celebrant FAQs

Are you looking for answers from a Sunshine Coast wedding celebrant who keeps things relaxed, heartfelt and genuinely fun?

This FAQ page covers everything you need to know about booking a celebrant, planning your ceremony, writing vows and what to expect on your wedding day.

Whether you’re planning an intimate beach wedding, a hinterland celebration, or something beautifully non-traditional, you’ll find helpful guidance here to support you as you plan a ceremony that feels truly you.

How do we know if you’re the right Sunshine Coast wedding celebrant for us?

You’ll know because, you’ll click. Choosing the right Sunshine Coast wedding celebrant is all about connection and that magical feeling of “yes, this is our person.” Every celebrant brings a different energy, so it’s important to meet a few and see who feels like the best fit for you both.

I’m a relaxed, warm-hearted and bubbly Sunshine Coast celebrant who believes ceremonies should feel natural, joyful and deeply personal. I love a good coffee, yoga, dogs, horses and big-hearted family moments and I bring that same warmth into every ceremony I create.

If my energy feels right for you and you can picture me standing beside you on your wedding day, let’s catch up and chat.

Can a Sunshine Coast celebrant create a personalised wedding ceremony?

Yes, absolutely! A Sunshine Coast wedding celebrant can create a ceremony that feels completely you, reflecting your personalities, values and love story. Every element, from your vows to music choices, and special elements, can be tailored so your ceremony is heartfelt, meaningful and memorable.

As your celebrant, I work closely with you to understand your vision and style. Whether you want something relaxed, modern, romantic or a little cheeky, I’ll design a personalised ceremony that captures your connection perfectly, ensuring your guests feel the love and connection in every moment.

Do you recommend having a wedding ceremony rehearsal?

If you’ve got more than two fabulous humans in your wedding party, then yes, a ceremony rehearsal is highly recommended. A rehearsal helps everyone feel relaxed, confident and clear about how your ceremony will flow.

As your Sunshine Coast wedding celebrant, I’ll casually walk you through each part of your ceremony so you know exactly where to stand, when to move and what to expect. You’ll leave feeling calm, excited and totally ready for your big day.

If you decide not to have a rehearsal, no stress at all. I include a pre-ceremony call to go over the finer details and answer any last-minute questions. Your ceremony script will also include gentle prompts so everyone feels supported from the moment I arrive to the moment I shimmy off home.

How long will our Sunshine Coast wedding ceremony go for?

In most cases, I only need around 30 minutes to create a beautiful, relaxed and meaningful Sunshine Coast wedding ceremony but the length is always up to you.

If you’d love to include a reading from your best friend, a poem that brings a tear to the eye or a few heartfelt words from a parent, these can be seamlessly woven into your ceremony. If short and sweet is more your style, ceremonies can be as brief as 10 minutes.

Most couples find that around 20–30 minutes is the perfect balance, long enough to feel special and personal, without dragging on. Just enough time for me to work my magic and get you beautifully hitched.

Do you help us write our wedding vows?

Absolutely! Writing your own wedding vows can feel exciting and a little daunting, but you’re never doing it alone.

As your Sunshine Coast celebrant, I provide you with a simple, helpful vow-writing guide with prompts and examples to get you started. I’ll work with you both to fine-tune your vows so they sound like you, heartfelt, authentic and comfortable to say out loud.

On your wedding day, I will also print a copy of your vows so you can read them directly to each other, soaking up every moment without worrying about what comes next.

How far in advance should we book our Sunshine Coast wedding celebrant?

As soon as you’ve locked in your wedding date and venue, it’s a great idea to book your Sunshine Coast wedding celebrant. Popular dates, especially weekends, peak seasons (school holidays) and beautiful beach or hinterland weddings, can book out 12 to 18 months in advance.

That said, if your wedding is coming up sooner, don’t panic. I’ve helped couples plan gorgeous ceremonies with shorter timeframes too. If you’ve found your date and you’re feeling the connection, reach out and check availability, you might be pleasantly surprised.

How do we book our ceremony date with you?

Booking your Sunshine Coast wedding ceremony is nice and simple. Once you’ve reached out and confirmed my availability for your date, we’ll catch up on zoom to see if we’re a good match.

To officially secure your ceremony date, a signed agreement and booking fee are required. Once that’s done, your date is locked in and you can relax knowing your celebrant is sorted.

From there, I’ll guide you through the legal paperwork, ceremony planning and all the lovely details leading up to your wedding day.

Are there any hidden fees?

No surprises here, transparency is important. My pricing is clear and upfront, with no hidden fees tucked away.

Your package will outline exactly what’s included, from ceremony planning and legal requirements to writing and delivering your personalised Sunshine Coast wedding ceremony. If there are any optional extras, these are always discussed openly before you commit and sign the agreement.

The goal is for you to feel relaxed, informed and confident every step of the way with no awkward fine print, just honest celebrant goodness.

What happens if you’re sick on our wedding day?

While it’s incredibly rare, I always have a solid backup plan in place, just in case. As a professional Sunshine Coast wedding celebrant, I am part of a trusted network of experienced celebrants who support one another.

If illness or an emergency were to prevent me from attending your wedding (think extreme circumstances only), I will organise a suitable replacement celebrant who aligns with my style and values, ensuring your ceremony still runs smoothly and beautifully.

Your ceremony script, legal paperwork and personal touches would be fully prepared, so you can focus on enjoying your day knowing you’re in safe hands.

Which Sunshine Coast wedding vendors do you recommend?

You are completely spoilt for choice when it comes to incredible Sunshine Coast wedding vendors. This region is filled with talented, professional and genuinely lovely humans who know how to create magic.

Over the years, I’ve worked alongside many amazing Sunshine Coast wedding suppliers, from photographers and florists to musicians and planners and I’ve curated a list of trusted favourites to help you start your planning journey with confidence.

Choosing vendors who already work well together can make your wedding day feel smooth, relaxed and joy-filled and I am always happy to point you in the right direction.

How much does a Sunshine Coast wedding celebrant cost?

The cost of a Sunshine Coast wedding celebrant can vary depending on experience, inclusions, travel and the type of ceremony you’re planning. Most celebrants offer packages that reflect the time, care and personalisation involved, not just the ceremony itself.

My celebrant packages are designed to offer exceptional value and a stress-free experience. They include guidance through the legal paperwork, the creation of a personalised and heartfelt ceremony, vow support, professional delivery on the day and ongoing support throughout your planning journey and changing your surname after your marriage.

When choosing your celebrant, it’s important to look beyond price alone and consider connection, experience and how confident you feel placing such an important moment in their hands. After all, your celebrant sets the tone for your entire wedding day.

We can not recommend Stacey enough. We love Stacey’s kind and supportive nature. She was always there for us from first contact right through till after the wedding. She made our Sunshine Coast ceremony run smoothly and we both felt very calm and relaxed on the day. Thank you Stacey for a beautiful ceremony, we can not thank you enough!
